Coast to Coast
My husband and I have traveled cross country twice together. We moved from Boston to California with our two cats. Then we moved back to the East Coast, and settled in Charleston. This time we traveled cross country with our one year old. Many thought we were crazy but we loved having this experience with her!
Back on the Road with 2 toddlers
We took both toddlers on an epic road trip from Denver, CO to Mendocino, CA. We wanted to get back to Mendocino (where we got married) for our 5 year anniversary. We stopped in Vail, Pagosa Springs, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Prescott, Redondo Beach, Santa Cruz, and finally Mendocino.
My passion for design began at a young age—I was the kid constantly rearranging furniture, fascinated by how space could transform with just a few changes. That curiosity grew into a deep love for the visual arts, which I pursued throughout high school and into my undergraduate studies. Initially, I explored a path in art education, but after graduation, I felt a strong pull toward interior design and decided to follow that calling.
I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture, and during that time, I began working with California Closets. What started as a job quickly became a pivotal chapter in my career. I rose through the ranks, earned several awards, and discovered a passion for the fast-paced, highly personalized nature of custom storage design. Each project brought a new challenge and a unique story, which kept the work fresh and inspiring.
I was later invited to collaborate with the corporate marketing team to design systems for national advertising campaigns—an exciting opportunity that broadened my perspective and skill set. This led to my current position as a design lead on the Brand Marketing Team at California Closets.
Today, my work continues to be influenced by the places I’ve lived, the people I’ve met, and the natural beauty I’ve encountered along the way. I believe that great design is not just about how a space looks, but how it makes you feel. One of my dreams is to take my family on a long road trip through Europe—soaking up the architecture, culture, and inspiration around every corner.
